In the mean time, check out my Pinterest board @heywoodhomeinc. to gain direction and inspiration.

Yes, you do! While an architect is critical to designing the structure of the home as well as the overall aesthetic, an interior designer will help define the flow of the home for the people who will live in it.

For example:

  • We will help you determine the right lighting options to set the right mood for each room.
  • We can help you visualize the type of furnishings you might have in each space and how the builders may need to accommodate the design for such.
  • Selecting finishes that highlight your personal style and flow throughout the home.
  • And so much more!

Of course! To get that “designer look,” it is important your home looks carefully curated not like you just purchased a set. (bedroom sets and living room furniture are the worst offenders!)

I can get you more unique pieces at reasonable prices using my “to the trade” accounts. This will allow you as the home owner a much broader shopping experience. Once these custom pieces are purchased they will be shipped, assembled, delivered and installed in your home at no extra cost to you.

I am also willing to the hit the town and go shopping! This is a great way to purchase accessories and smaller pieces. Adding these layers with your already precious photos and mementos is how we add polish to the room and make it feel finished.

1. Consultation – Meeting together for an hour or less to discuss the scope of the project, understand how your home functions for you and to ensure we are a good match for each other.

2. Design Development – This may or may not require an additional meeting to finalize measurements and review concepts. Then I will go into full planning mode, creating a concept/mood boards, contractor estimates, product estimates, and timelines.

3. Project Management – Once the design plan is reviewed and deposits are paid (typically 50% down) we move forward on the contractors work, ordering furniture and accessories, shopping, installation, and keeping the budget on track.

4. Closeout – Including any photos (with permission, of course) billing, and reviews.
